Job Description A Day in the Life: Be part of the only dedicated stroke unit in northern Michigan, a 29-bed private room unit specializing in the care of patients with neurologic deficits. As part of a Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) designation, care for a wide range of complex neurological conditions, including: Ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes Seizure disorders Headaches and mood disorders Rare and complex neurologic syndromes Post-operative neurosurgical care (e.g., thrombectomies, TNK, craniotomies, VP shunts) What Sets Us Apart: State-of-the-Art Technology: One of only five hospitals nationwide with a biplane CT scanner. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan. Passion for neurology and high-acuity care. BLS Certification. ACLS preferred. NIH Stroke Scale Certification (to be obtained during unit orientation). Experienced RNs and new graduates with a strong interest in neuro.
