Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description

Join our team as a 1st Shift Mechanical-Electro Assembler, working from 4:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, in Orrville, OH. You will be responsible for the mechanical assembly and wiring of medium-sized machinery, including sheet metal components and various other parts such as legs, tanks, handles, vents, ducts, hoppers, and drums.

• Follow work instructions and prints to assemble parts using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, glue, or other fasteners.
• Operate hand drills, rotary air grinders, staplers, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations.
• Test or assist in testing the operation of complete products.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
• Assemble parts by bolting, riveting, or bonding.

• Strong mechanical experience relevant to the job duties.
• Experience with a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and tape measure.
• Comfortable working on a step ladder 5-6 steps high and in tight spaces.
• Ability to work effectively on a team of 5-6 people.
• Experience using an overhead crane.

• Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience in mechanical assembly, wiring, and motors.
• Familiarity with assembling production blueprints and electrical assembly.
• Inspection skills.

Work in a shop environment with a team of 5-6 others. The shop is not climate controlled but has fans and garage doors to keep cool. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with some Fridays off during slower periods.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orrville, OH.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
