Pride Health is hiring a [Phlebotomist II] to support our client's healthcare facility in Jasper GA 30143 . Job Details Schedule: M-F 7:30am-4:15pm EST Location: Jasper GA 30143 Float / Coverage Area: Job Type: Local contract Contract Length: 3 Months+ Pay Range: $ 21.70 to $23.25/hour* Mileage Reimbursement Rate (if applicable): $X.XX / mile *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education. Responsibilities Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures. Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness. Package specimens for transport. Stores specimens at the required temperature and places them. Qualifications A High School Diploma or GED is required. A minimum of 3-5 yr. of phlebotomy experience is required.
