Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Evening Shift)

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Evening Shift) in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

Location: Parkersburg, WV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift: Evening Shift: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with weekend requirements as scheduled.

Job Description

The Emergency Department at our facility cares for a diverse patient population with various urgent medical needs. The unit features 44 beds and 3 trauma bays, equipped for both low and higher acuity cases. The department includes a designated fast track area, triage room, and specialized behavioral health units. A comprehensive team, including PAs, security personnel, and support staff, aids in maintaining an efficient environment for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct triage and assess patient conditions in fast track and emergency settings.
• Provide nursing care for patients with varying acuity levels, including behavioral health concerns.
• Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize the EPIC charting system for documentation and patient records.
• Assist in the coordination of care and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required Experience

• Experience in an emergency department setting, including working with a diverse patient population.
• Familiarity with emergency care protocols and procedures.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
