Our network of 30+ North American and European laboratories serves the food & beverage, dietary supplements, cosmetics, OTC, tobacco/nicotine, cannabis, and hemp industries.Our BrandsCertified Group is comprised of a set of specialized brands that collectively deliver laboratory testing, regulatory consulting, and certification & audit services across highly regulated industries:Certified Laboratories – Provides comprehensive analytical and microbiological testing, primarily supporting food, beverage, cosmetics, OTC, and dietary supplement industries.Food Safety Net Services (FSNS) – A leading network of ISO-accredited laboratories across North America, focused on food safety testing, operational support, and technical services for the food industry.Labstat – A global leader in contract research and testing for nicotine, tobacco, cannabis, hemp, and next-generation products, with deep expertise in analytical chemistry and toxicology.EAS Consulting Group – A regulatory consulting firm offering expert guidance, training, and auditing support across FDA, USDA, and other regulated sectors, powered by a large network of independent advisors.FSNS Certification & Audit – Provides accredited third-party auditing and certification services, including food safety, animal welfare, and GMP programs.Job FunctionReporting to the Department/Section Supervisor or Laboratory Manager, Chemistry Technician will be responsible for the following:Routine testing of client supplied samples in accordance with standard operating procedures.Generation, interpretation and management of analytical data.Troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical instruments.Primary ResponsibilitiesPreform sample login and splittingAssist chemists in performing analysis using one or more of the following techniques: HPLC, GC, LCMS, GCMS, GC, ICP/MS, ICP-OES, UV-VIS, FTIR, Titration, Gravimetric Analysis, or other techniques, as appropriate in a timely fashion maintaining a high level of quality.Prepare analytical standards.Perform daily balance, temperature and monthly pipette verification.Perform sample processing in accordance with standard operating procedures.Perform sample preparation.Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments.Prepare standards and maintain inventoryPurchase of standards and solventsMaintain analytical and quality records as required for accreditation/certification and related to analytical work and instrument maintenance.Submit accurate and timely reports based on the analysis.Identify results that require further investigation or discussion with the Department Manager/Supervisor.Participate in OOS investigation and/or CAPA when necessary.Learn new techniques and technologies as appropriate.Other duties as required.Position RequirementsMinimum high school diploma and/or associate degree in science, BA/BS degree preferred.0-1 years experience working in a laboratory settingHigh level of computer skills and familiarity with data acquisition softwareStrong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skillsHigh level of computer literacyGood conceptual basis in analytical chemistryProven ability to perform standard chemical laboratory techniquesKey Position Competencies To Be MeasuredAnalytical capability and performanceTechnical communication skillsTeam playerOrganizational skills.Strong communication skillsManual dexterityAbility to distinguish colorsAbility to stand for prolonged periodsSchedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday-FridaySalary: $19-$20/hrWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and make employment decisions without regard to protected characteristics under applicable law.
