Since 1996, MSS has taken pride in retaining some of the best talents in the industry by promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and empowerment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAssist with all work related to HVAC/Mechanical/Industrial projectsMeasure and cut pipe according to requirementsSoldering, brazing, threading pipe, grooving pipe, installing hangers as well as carbon steel pipe (up to 24")Repairing malfunctions, breakages or leaksTesting pipe systems to ensure safety and functionalityCommunicate professionally with management, superintendent and customersFollows all safety policies and procedures.Observe, report and correct unsafe work environmentsCollaborate with other workers to complete projectOther such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.Qualifications and Requirements• 2-3 Years of experience fitting pipe• Must have personal hand tools required for the position• Present yourself in a professional manner• Ability to communicate clearly with Foreman and follow direction• Ability to show up on time, ready to work and in uniform• Must successfully pass a background check• Must successfully pass a drug testAbility to identify, install and repair mechanical pipe systemsAbility to read blueprintsAbility to recognize, set up and operate hand and power tools common to the trade as neededKnowledge of cutting and welding methodsAbility to abide by basic safe work practicesMust successfully pass a background check & drug test.High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
