Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

If you are an energetic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) passionate about working with elementary-aged children, this contract assignment could be the ideal fit. Step into a collaborative educational environment working onsite from August 13, 2026, to June 9, 2027, supporting students’ development and helping them reach their fullest potential.

You’ll join an experienced school team serving an engaging elementary caseload Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. This full-time opportunity provides the chance to work directly with students in a supportive educational setting, helping them navigate and succeed in their daily school routines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Active COTA licensure in California is required
• Previous experience in school-based settings is a must
• Comfort and proficiency working with elementary-aged children
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work onsite and engage in a school-based therapeutic environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students as prescribed by IEPs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrative staff, and supervising OTs to address students’ needs
• Collect and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Assist in developing and implementing classroom strategies to support student participation
• Attend meetings with families and school personnel as needed
