Pediatric Acute Care Nurses Wanted

Kelly Government Solutions is seeking experienced Pediatric Registered Nurses to support the world-renowned National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay

• $38.92 - $56.00 per hour
• Additional $5.42 per hour Health & Welfare benefit

Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts
• Weekends and holiday nights as required
• 13-week contract
• Potential for extension based on funding and performance

Important Qualifications

To Be Considered, Candidates Must Have:

• Current, active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Successful completion of NCLEX
• Current BLS certification
• Recent pediatric acute-care hospital experience
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric inpatient nursing experience
• Ability to work night shifts
• Ability to complete NIH credentialing and onboarding requirements

Highly Preferred

• Current pediatric hospital bedside experience
• Pediatric specialty unit experience
• Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients
• PALS certification
• Experience in academic medical centers, children's hospitals, or teaching hospitals

What You'll Do

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes
• Document care accurately within the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, researchers, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs
• Support clinical research activities and protocol requirements
• Maintain compliance with NIH, Joint Commission, HIPAA, infection-control, and patient-safety standards
• Float to appropriate units within your competency when needed
