Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days, 6:15 AM – 6:45 PM | 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, nursing interventions, reassessments, and evaluation of care provided
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and report abnormal findings to the appropriate provider
• Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood products, and other treatments accurately and in a timely manner
• Complete required Cerner documentation in accordance with competencies, training, policies, and procedures, utilizing Care Compass for assessments, care tasks, procedures, and patient education
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation, taking appropriate action when needed
• Provide patient and family education related to disease process, treatment plans, medications, pain management, wound care, discharge planning, and follow-up care; collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Med/Surg or Emergency Room experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Cerner EHR/EMR experience required
• Graduate of an accredited RN program required
• Current Colorado or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience using Care Compass within the Cerner platform
• Familiarity with SBAR communication format for care transitions
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a mentor to nursing staff and support continuous learning
• Experience working in a fast-paced, rural hospital environment
