This means as an engineer, you will work with a growing team comprised of product managers, designers, and brokerage operations professionals to ideate, prioritize, prototype, develop, test, and iterate on software that will educate and equip people with newer and smarter ways to build wealth. We're looking for engineers who have an unrelenting sense of urgency and capability to move fast, have a strong sense of ownership, ability to deal with ambiguity and are enthusiastic about tackling new challenges to help us build a world-class financial platform.What You Will Do:Backend Engineering: You will be working with a small team of experienced engineers across all areas related to the backend powering Frec. You will own large pieces of the infrastructure – all aspects of it ranging from proposing changes to existing services, building new ones, improving how we deploy, and ensuring the systems we build are stable, durable, and can scale smoothly as we grow. You take pride in designing services that not only work well in development but remain healthy, observable, and easy to operate in production.Distributed Systems & Data Processing: You'll tackle complex backend challenges around data consistency, transactional integrity, and high availability. This includes designing APIs and services that are fault-tolerant, building mechanisms for secure and reliable financial data handling, and ensuring the platform scales gracefully under increasing load.Infrastructure & Operations Mindset: You will help shape how we build, deploy, and monitor our services.
