About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours / 8 Hours Experience: 2+ Years of Recent Cath Lab Experience License: State License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Recent Experience Required Description: Must have 2+ years of recent Cath Lab experience. Travelers living within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local. Local rates are less than travel rates. Call is required per facility needs. Call frequency is 11-14 days, including weekdays and rotating weekends. Minimum response time for call is under 30 minutes. There are holiday call expectations with 24-hour call on holidays and a rotating schedule. Typical call volume since the unit opened has been 14 calls. Float requirements will be based on facility needs. Weekend and coverage requirements will be determined by the facility. Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization skills are required. Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring is necessary. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are essential competencies. A thorough understanding of heart blocks, various arrhythmias, and paced rhythms is important. Nurses will independently measure telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms for telemetry patients. If a nurse does not pass the initial assessment in telemetry, they will receive a remediation test. All requests for time off must be included in the initial submission. Previous travelers are eligible to return, provided they are in good standing.
