Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to telemetry patients, monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Responsible for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based interventions within a fast-paced cardiology unit.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions regularly and interpret cardiac telemetry data accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Document patient care and progress meticulously in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on condition management and post-discharge care.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status, escalating concerns as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Proven experience in telemetry or cardiac nursing preferred.
• Strong ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
