Job DescriptionJob DescriptionChild & AdolescentPsychiatrist - Kern County, CA(#R10041)Must have board certification or board eligibility inChild & AdolescentPsychiatry.Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking aChild & AdolescentPsychiatrist to fill an opening in the KernBHRS department that provides specialty behavioral health services to Medi-Cal recipients and uninsured, located in Kern County, CA.Schedule of theChild & Adolescent Psychiatrist:Full-Time (FTE):Shift: 8-hour day, with afternoon slots prioritized for school collaboration.Activities: 10–12 medication appointments, 3–5 court-ordered evaluations weekly.Part-Time (PTE):Shift: 4–6 hours, typically 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to align with school schedules.Job Description:The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists deliver trauma-informedcare to minors with developmental disorders, mood dysregulation, and school-related behavioral challenges. This role involves forensic evaluations for dependency cases and collaboration with Kern County schools and juvenile justice systems.Job Responsibilitiesof theChild & Adolescent Psychiatrist:Conduct ADHD diagnostic evaluations using Vanderbilt scales and implement school-based 504/IEP accommodations.Manage psychopharmacology for autism spectrum disorders (ASD), including FDA-approved medications for irritability (e.g., aripiprazole) while coordinating with ABA therapists.Perform court-ordered evaluations for child welfare cases, including assessments of parental competency and trauma-related dissociative symptoms.Supervise Child Psychiatry Fellows in crisis intervention techniques for suicidal ideation and self-harm behaviors.Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is a nationwide recruitment agency, matching both new grads and advanced practitioners to hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, multi-specialty groups, and private practices.RequirementsRequirements of theChild & AdolescentPsychiatrist:Must have an active California Medical LicenseAmerican Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) certifiedMust be DEA CertifiedBenefitsBenefits of theChild & Adolescent Psychiatrist:The salary for this position is $240/hr.Sick daysHealth insuranceMatching 401k
