This strategic leadership role will help strengthen technical excellence, expand and enhance service offerings, develop technical leaders, and position AE2S to meet the evolving needs of municipalities, developers, industries, and communities across our growing geographic footprint. The Civil Practice Leader will provide leadership for a diverse portfolio of civil engineering services, including: Site Civil Engineering Land Development, Land Surveying Why This Opportunity Is Different This is not a regional role. As the Civil Practice Leader, you will: Shape AE2S’s national strategies on civil engineering projects Expand and strengthen technical capabilities across multiple states Influence project delivery across multiple states Build and scale a nationally recognized practice Collaborate with leadership across operations, client development, and strategy Responsibilities You’ll lead the strategy, technical direction, and growth of AE2S’ Civil Practice nationwide. Compensation and Total Rewards The anticipated salary range for this position is: $120,000-$200,000+ This salary range represents AE2S's good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, technical expertise, licensure, certifications, education, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs. Our comprehensive benefits program includes: 100-percentcompany-paid family health Insurance 100-percent company-paid employee dental and vision insurance Company-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage Paid Time Off (PTO), including credits for prior experience Paid parental leave Qualifications Basic Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or directly related field Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) 10 or moreyears of experience in site civil, municipal engineering, or related 2 years of leadership experienceleading teams, initiatives, or practice areas Demonstrated track record of technical excellence Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, the public, and other employees Proven ability to develop, win, and retain client relationships Ability to travel periodicl to support conferences, project pursuits, client meetings, and other business development activities All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations Preferred Qualifications Experience leading complex internal initiatives and external projects Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously Reputation for integrity, sound judgment, and leadership within the organization and industry Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and geographies Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capability Physical Requirements Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
