Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Attleboro, Massachusetts.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 6 weeks\n 48 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs\n Hours: 48 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 6 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and an active MA RN license.Details\n \n 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit with inpatient rooming, keeping infants with mothers\n Newborn nursery available for infants requiring specialized care\n Cares for neonate and adult patient populations\n Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)\n Every other weekend coverage required\n Uses Omnicell medication system\n Follows SBAR communication protocol\n No charge nurse duties required\n Requirements\n \n Active MA RN license required\n BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, and NRP certifications required\n AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred\n Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required\n Cerner charting experience preferred but not required\n Prior travel nursing experience required\n Skilled in labor and delivery management, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care\n Experience with vaginal delivery assistance, forceps/vacuum extraction, and C-section recovery\n Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and use of infusion pumps\n Experience with pain management including epidural and IV pain medications\n Knowledge of newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and discharge teaching\n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care\n Support antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients including couplet care and multiple births\n Perform fetal monitoring and recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns\n Assist with newborn care immediately following delivery including ID banding and metabolic screening\n Provide breastfeeding support and discharge education to new parents\n First-time travelers will be considered for this position\n Returning staff must wait one year before becoming eligible to return as a traveler\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-748457.
