Job Description:

As a Host / Hostess , you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for greeting them with a warm and friendly demeanor. You will manage reservations, seat guests, and oversee the flow of the dining room, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for all.

Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests promptly with a welcoming and professional attitude
• Manage reservations using the restaurant’s booking system (OpenTable, Resy, or equivalent)
• Accurately quote wait times and manage guest expectations during busy periods
• Coordinate seating to balance server sections and optimize table turns
• Communicate effectively with managers, servers, and kitchen staff regarding guest flow and special requests
• Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable host stand and entry area
• Assist with guest inquiries, special accommodations, and overall guest experience
• Handle phone calls, reservations, and guest questions with professionalism and efficiency
• Monitor dining room pacing and adjust seating accordingly
• Support the team with additional front-of-house duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for guest service
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Familiarity with reservation systems is a plus
