Commercial Real Estate Property Accountant
Our growing client has a need for a Senior Property Accountant with Commercial Property experience. Responsibilities include preparing and distributing monthly financial and job cost reporting for various projects and partnerships, reviewing lease input, billing adjustments, and monthly tenant billings, reviewing annual and/or quarterly CAM, CPI, real estate tax and insurance billings, reviewing percentage-rent sales calculations, assisting in reconciling tenant balances and handling tenant-billing questions, maintaining depreciation and amortization schedules annually and/or quarterly, assisting with external audits and budget preparation, reviewing FASB13 rental adjustments and maintaining information in MRI, preparing monthly bank statement and balance sheet reconciliations, preparing and entering monthly journal entries, reviewing payables for coding, and reviewing check-selection report for payments. Skills and requirements include commercial real estate experience preferred, a degree in accounting, finance or business-related field or equivalent work experience, Excel and MRI experience preferred (pivots, lookups a plus), demonstrating problem-solving abilities, good written and verbal communication skills, ability to prioritize work and work under deadlines, being detail-oriented and possessing good organizational skills.
