Maintenance Tech, PRN

Methodist Hospital for Surgery 17101 Dallas Pkwy Addison, TX 75001, USA This maintenance tech is responsible for assisting in preventive maintenance, reporting documentation of the hospital in order to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. There is no remote option for this position. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of one year of experience in building mechanical equipment. High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college education preferred. Ability to read, write and follow safety directions as required. Painting and minor maintenance work experience preferred. Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Making minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing and painting repairs as requested. Maintenance and beautification of facility and grounds. Conducting scheduled inspections and maintenance throughout the facility. Maintaining and testing the emergency power system to ensure availability of power to all entrances, exits, fire detection alarms and extinguishing equipment, and life support systems. Maintaining all essential equipment (e.g., boiler room equipment, nursing unit/medication, etc.) in a safe operating condition. Must be able to work day shift (8:00A – 5:00P), weekends, and on-call, as scheduled. Remaining flexible for other duties and special projects assigned.
