Call Required: 10-14 shifts per month with rotating weekends Weekend: Rotating weekends Special Procedures/Unit Details: CVC - Perma cath, ports, HD cath Nephrostomy Abcessograms Choleycystogram tube Fistulograms Peripheral vascular cases Abdominal vascular, gi bleed, Embolizations Special Equipment: Preferred xray - phillips C-arm and siemens bi-plane 2-3 techs; on call 1 tech 2 rns Certifications: ACLS ARRT- R BLS Fluoro Permit State licensed CA CRT Skills Required: Interventional Radiology Special Procedures PACS Adrenal Angiography Angioplasty Aortography Chemoembolization Chest Tube Placement Embolization ERCP Gastrostomy Tube Placement Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter removal Inferior vena cavogram Liver Biopsy Mesenteric Angiogram Paracentesis Pelvic angiography Percutaneous Hepatic Angiography Pulmonary arteriography Renal Angiography Selective visceral angiography Stent placement Superior vena cavogram Thoracentesis Adrenal Angiography Angiography of genitourinary system Catheter/drain exchange Cholecystostomy Embolization Gastrostomy Internal/external biliary drainage Nephrostomy Renal Angiography Renal Artery Stent Placement Ureteral Stent Placement Uterine Arterial Embolization TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt) Angioplasty Central Venous Access/Port Placement Dialysis Graft Creation/Revision Dialysis Graft interventions (fistulograms/declots) Endovascular Interventions Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy Central Venous Access (non-Tunneled/PICC lines) Central Venous Access (Tunneled Port) Central Venous Lines- Care and Maintenance Fluoroscopy Philips Siemens Ultrasound Accurate monitoring Equipment set up Prep access site Room circulator Scrub- maintain sterile field Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose) Isolation Precautions Use of Rapid Response team 1 year exp with IR (can be combined Cath/EP/IR), prefer 2 years NO RTO within first two weeks due to orientation, no exceptions! Must submit ALL RTO up front, including any doctor's appointments, etc.
