Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring an active VA or compact license and prior travel experience.

ICU unit setting with the possibility of floating to other hospital areas such as CVICU/CVSD or Cardiac Tele.

Night shift schedule of 3x12s with an option for 4x12s.

Every other weekend required.

13-week assignment length.

On-call may be required for certain areas within a 30 mile/30 minute radius of campus.

Uses Epic EMR for clinical documentation, with training class assigned based on prior Epic experience.

Active VA or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.

Minimum of one previous travel assignment required.

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.

Must complete Epic Clin Doc training (accelerated or 2-day class based on experience level).

Care for critically ill patients within the ICU, with potential floating to related specialty units.

Floating, if required, will follow client staffing policies and Joint Commission standards.

Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), with exemptions subject to CMS guideline compliance.

Facility is smoke and nicotine free.

Previous VHC staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler.

RTO requests should be minimal and submitted prior to assignment start, as approval after offer is not guaranteed.

Up to 7 hours of non-billable orientation modules required, completed during onboarding.
