divh2Warehouse Lead/h2pAssist management in coordinating the warehouse activities of the distribution center by performing the following duties. Standard work hours vary depending on branch needs but will include some Sundays. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned./pulliA leads primary function is to assist the supervisory staff of the branch./liliThe lead will provide leadership and supervision to associates in their area of responsibility as well as all associates./liliAssist in enabling the distribution center to fulfill its goals and the overall company mission./liliMaintain the company policies while communicating company goals and expectations. Primary responsibility is to oversee production in their assigned area, administer the training program of all new associates, to monitor and provide direction in their assigned area./liliReport to manager or supervisor in charge of their area and assume any additional responsibility assigned./li/ulpExpectations/pulliTrain associates on efficient work methods and procedures/liliDirect all production and quality control functions in their assigned area/liliOversee associates with regard to daily production performance/liliEnsure established volumes of production are met or surpassed daily/liliDevelop and motivate associates and present direct supervisor with issues/liliFocus attention and efforts to maximize profitability Provide leadership in the absence of any supervisor/li/ulpQualifications/pulliMust be able to pass the introductory period of 90 days/liliGood communication skills, both verbal and written/liliProblem-solving and analytical skills/liliGood time management skills/liliDaily interaction with warehouse personnel, office personnel, drivers, freight lines and customers as required./li/ulpEducation/Experience:/pulliHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./li/ulpLanguage Ability:/pulliAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals./liliAbility to write routine reports and correspondence./liliAbility to speak effectively before groups of employees./li/ulpMath Ability:/pulliAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals./liliAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs./li/ulpReasoning Ability:/pulliAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists./liliAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form./li/ulpComputer Skills:/pulliKnowledge of basic office (spreadsheet, word processing, e-mail) as well as inventory and warehouse management software.
