About the Position

Job Title: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Profession: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Specialty: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - EPIC EMR experience within the last 12 months in a like unit - Basic Dysrhythmia test to be passed in the first week of assignment Description: The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed in order to work in the ICU. The role involves delivering care to patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Care will be coordinated with other health team members. The RN will interact effectively with patients and significant others while maintaining high professional nursing standards. High-quality care will be provided to adult cardiac/telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patient populations. The estimated work week is 36 hours. Every other weekend and holiday rotation is required. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during low census periods. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
