Roaring Spring, PA | Acute Care – ICU (Trauma Level IV)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 4-bed ICU setting serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage and monitor patients on ventilators, A-lines, IABP, and CPAP equipment
• Care for patients presenting with common diagnoses including DKA, STEMI, CVA, and respiratory failure
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Float to MedSurg as needed when the ICU census is low for a given shift
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 depending on patient acuity and status

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania RN license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• All Pennsylvania state clearances must be completed prior to start, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, DHS Fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH PA State Police Clearance
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with EPIC EHR
• Familiarity with IABP and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience caring for patients with DKA, STEMI, CVA, and respiratory failure
