Responsibilities Interface with clients to define project requirements, establish project work plans and deadlines. Manage client relationship and expectations through face-to-face, phone, and email communication. Manage multiple projects, champion design reports, produce engineering proposals (RFPs), facilitate client meetings and presentations. Track progress of projects against goals, objectives, timelines and budgets. Generate reports, track project costs and financial forecasts related to project status. Monitor expenses to stay within prescribed budget. Manage project team with direction, monitoring effectiveness and leadership. Work closely with functional areas, project contractors, internal and external team, customers and suppliers. Understand and follow company policies and procedures. Follow company strategy for market penetration. Manage business development for new and future projects in the area. Lead a team of engineers and technical staff. Qualifications Hands-on experience managing Data Centers/Critical Facilities Design Projects. Familiar with building systems design process for data center and mission-critical projects. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Architecture (required). P.E. license or AIA (or working toward it). PMP certification a plus. Experience managing engineering projects in the consulting engineering industry, A/E, MEP arena. Project management experience in the consulting engineering industry. Client relationship and business development experience (creating RFPs). Effective communicator: emails, phone, meetings; strong organizational, communication and reporting skills. Computer savvy with Microsoft Project, Excel; ability to create complex reports and forecast modeling. Prior military experience (or veterans) in Electrical/Mechanical appreciated.
