Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED)

Location: Titusville, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description: The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a combination of critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and advanced nursing skills to manage emergencies effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to individuals in the emergency department.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, interpreting vital signs and lab results.
• Administer medications, including IV therapies and emergency medications.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Assist with stabilizing trauma patients and prepare them for transfer if necessary.
• Document patient care and procedures in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in all aspects of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2.5 years of Emergency Department experience.
• 1 year of neuro/stroke experience preferred.
• Active RN license in Florida or compact state.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS, PALS; TNCC preferred.
• Experience with Level 1 - resuscitation patients highly desirable.
