Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Columbus, OH Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: OB Hospitalist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Columbus, Ohio Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Shift Schedule: Varied, 7a-7p; 7p-7a Reason for Coverage: Locum Need PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Low Risk 60%; High Risk 40%; GYN: 10% Average Daily Volume: 4 inductions, 1-2 C/S across clinic and private Case Mix: Low Risk Pregnancy, High Risk Pregnancy, Complicated Delivery, VBACs, GYN FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level II EMR System: EPIC Office Equipment Available: Standard L+D support equipment Support Staff Available: RNs: L+D RNs all EFM certified, PA/NPs: APRN per shift-primarily midwife, Office Staff: OB techs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Credentialing Timeline: 3 months REQUIRED PROCEDURES Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.) High Risk Pregnancy (i.e. with Toxemia, Diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, Chronic Lung Problems, Chronic Renal Disease, etc.) FHR Interpretation – NST/CST/FSE OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability) OB ultrasounds – Performance of Interpretation Routine Delivery –Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section Complicated Delivery –C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc VBAC’s Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC or BE Licenses: Active OH License (might consider licensing candidates) Certifications: BLS; EFM from NCC
