Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10 hour schedule from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist performs nuclear medicine and PET exams while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Exam types include assessments of various vascular structures and organ systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures.
• Ensure maximal patient safety and comfort during exams.
• Utilize technical skills in nuclear medicine technology and computed tomography.
• Administer radioisotopes and monitor patient conditions.
• Implement ALARA principles for radiation safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid State of California DHS License.
• ARRT and/or NMTCB certification.
• Two years of training in an AMA-approved school for Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting performing nuclear medicine technology, including fusion imaging.
• Proficiency in patient transport.
• Preferred: ARRT certification in CT; bilingual skills in Spanish/Chinese.
