We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Altcourse , working as a Learning and Skills Worker . This role is offered on a permanent, full‑time basis, working 37 hours per week. Who are Novus? Site Information HMP Altcourse is a category B local prison in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool in Merseyside, England, which receives sentenced and remand adult male prisoners, as well as young offenders. The prison’s aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society. Skills, Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need to: Achieve performance and quality targets Produce accurate and timely reporting Demonstrate positive team working Have experience of conducting assessments and supporting learning of individuals and groups Have experience of working with groups of learners with a range of abilities.
