Closer to transaction advisory than a modelling-heavy internal role—the deciding factor is repeated client, sales, and executive-facing work. Senior P&C actuarial consulting role on Oliver Wyman's M&A team, based in New York with a hybrid schedule and flexibility across the Northeast US/Canada. You'll support insurance and reinsurance transactions through actuarial due diligence, stochastic risk analysis, data work, executive reporting, and client presentations.RequirementsMust HaveFCAS credential requiredStrongly Preferred3+ years of professional actuarial experience in consulting or insuranceBA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or related fieldProficiency in open-source programming languages such as Python or RAbility to lead and manage projects, including effective delegation and client solution developmentBroad exposure to P&C insurance with subject matter expertise in at least one area (pricing, reserving, data & analytics, or risk management)Ability to deliver against tight deadlines in fast-paced, demanding environmentsDetail oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrentlyEvidence of intellectual curiosity and ability to think strategically and creativelySelf-motivated, entrepreneurial attitude, and not afraid of long hoursStrong communication skillsNice To HavePrior M&A experienceSkills & DomainDomain P&C insurance pricing or reserving expertise
