Tank Builder / Welder (Nationwide)

Tank Builder / Welder (Nationwide) Full‑time position in a nationwide tank construction company. Day to Day Duties Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging. Use generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power and air tools. Weld plates with 7018, 7024, and 6010 stick (SMAW), flux core (FCAW), and submerged arc automatic machines (3 o’clock and goat/tractor). Employ come‑alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, winches, and other lifting equipment. Operate tank shell buggies, tank scaffolding, tank ladders, and other specialty equipment. Conduct vacuum box tests, oil tests, dye penetrant tests, and other non‑destructive quality examinations. Utilize gas monitors, fresh air kits, respirators, emergency rescue kits, and other safety equipment. Operate forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and other large lifting equipment. Apply knowledge of crane operations, including rigging and signaling. Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings. Plan the sequence and methods of fitting up, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks. Complete job safety analysis, safety audits, site‑specific training, and other safety training. Follow directions and work professionally with other crew members. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Great communication and organization skills. Problem‑solving ability and a willingness to suggest improvements to our systems. Excellent attendance and punctuality. Eager to learn. Minimum age of 18 years. Ability to lift 50 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent. Eligibility to work in the United States. Willingness to authorize background checks. No criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or acts of terrorism. Valid driver’s license. Willingness to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks.
