Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Torrance, California. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy acute care hospital. The candidate must have at least one year of OR experience and must bring their California nursing license on the first day of the assignment. The role includes working a 12-hour shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting as soon as possible. Candidates should be prepared to work scheduled Saturdays and on-call shifts as part of the rotation.

Job Details:

• Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Location Requirements: California license must be in hand; refers to a Torrance facility address.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of operating room experience, including trauma level 1 experience and teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with at least 36 hours per week, including 1 Saturday shift in 6 weeks, and 2-3 on-call shifts in 6 weeks.
• Additional Information: Must be willing to float to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro if required. Must confirm no limitations preventing accepting offers, understand floating requirements, and be willing to work holidays as needed.
• Submission Requirements: Must have worked at a Providence facility previously (permanent, travel, or registry), and hold an LA fire card within the last 30 days. Two references covering the last 3 years are required. Candidates must be willing to accept the offer, adhere to RTO restrictions, and comply with vaccination requirements.
