Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), ensuring optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and collaborative teamwork. This role involves managing complex patients with critical needs and supporting ongoing recovery.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments accurately, including vasoactive drips.
  
  
• 
  Utilize advanced assessment skills and critical thinking to respond to patient changes.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and discharge plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress and interventions accurately in Meditech system.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate advanced assessment and critical thinking skills.
  
  
• 
  Experience managing vasoactive infusions and complex patient conditions.
  
  
• 
  Possess strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
  
  
• 
  CPR, Trauma, and Stroke certifications preferred.
