Overnight Forklift Driver Part Time

Job Summary Responsible for operating a forklift, transporting merchandise and materials throughout the club, assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks, inspecting and receiving incoming merchandise, preparing pallets, performing general maintenance and safety procedures, maintaining policies and procedures, and delivering a positive service experience to Members. Responsibilities Operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Inspect forklifts prior to use and follow established safety standards. Load and unload merchandise and materials to and from delivery trucks. Inspect and prepare delivery trucks for unloading. Accurately receive all merchandise and materials delivered to the club. Lift, reserve and drop pallets of merchandise to and from the overhead steel and the sales floor. Prepare pallets for safe reserving by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets. Transport merchandise, material, and pallets safely throughout the club. Use a pallet jack as needed. Stock, rotate, and store general merchandise and food merchandise. Ensure that merchandise is fully stocked. Handle damaged and spoiled merchandise in accordance with company policies and procedures. Maintain club neat, clean, and organized. Perform general maintenance duties including removing trash and cardboard from the club. Participate in daily club openings and closings. Return merchandise back to the sales floor. Greet all Members and provide members with prompt and courteous service and assistance. Assist Members in locating merchandise. Maintain all club policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned and work in other departments as needed. Qualifications At least 18 years of age. Prior forklift operating experience preferred but not required. Must successfully complete required training and certification processes. Work Environment Most of the time is spent standing and moving about continuously on hard surfaces. Requires frequent bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping. Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds; may need to lift or move heavy or awkward objects over 30 pounds with assistance. Typically in a comfortable environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting to be heard. Occasional exposure to temperature extremes in freezer or cooler units and to cleaning agents. Compensation Pay range: $18.50 - $22.67 per hour.
