Social Worker (Mental Health Consultant)

About the Position: This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland at Kirk U.S. Army Health Clinic. Incumbent will be providing social work services at Patient Centered Medical Home. Hours: Monday- Friday 0730-1630 This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Basic Requirement for Social Worker (Mental Health Consultant): Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted independent social work clinical licensure from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. (Note: You must attach a copy of your license.) In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; 1.) Conducting mental health assessments and interventions; 2) performing bio-psycho-social evaluations; 3) Providing expert consultation to Primary Care Managers; and 4.) Developing individualized mental health treatment plans for patients.
