About the Role The Private Wealth Investment Analyst is a pivotal member of the Private Wealth team, serving as the primary point of daily contact for M+ clients and acting as the operational backbone supporting the Private Wealth Director. This role blends investment operations, client relationship management, compliance stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration into a single high-impact position. The ideal candidate brings both technical precision and genuine client empathy, someone who can navigate complex account structures and regulatory requirements while making every client interaction feel effortless and personal. The role also benefits from direct guidance and mentorship from the Director of Wealth Management, providing a strong foundation for long-term professional development. Responsibilities Client Service & Relationship Management Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for Private Wealth clients, handling inquiries, requests, and issues with speed, accuracy, and a client-first mindset. Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and their extended networks (accountants, attorneys, family members), reinforcing Mass Mutual and M+ value proposition at every touchpoint. Proactively anticipate client needs and deliver personalized, proactive communications - including market updates, portfolio summaries, and event follow-ups. Coordinate and prepare materials for client review meetings, including investment proposals, performance reports, and financial planning summaries. Log and track all client interactions, requests, and follow-up items in Salesforce CRM, ensuring no action falls through the cracks. Investment Operations & Account Administration Oversee end-to-end account opening processes: collect required documentation, obtain client signatures, build profiles in the platform, and verify accuracy before submission. Execute and support model-based trading activity, including rebalancing, distributions, contributions, tax-loss harvesting coordination, and directed trades under Private Wealth Director guidance. Monitor account activity for exceptions, missing documentation, or compliance flags, and resolve or elevate promptly. Prepare and deliver investment proposals using approved models, incorporating risk assessments and client-specific constraints. Maintain accurate and current records across all systems — including custodial platforms, internal reporting tools, and Salesforce — to ensure data integrity and regulatory readiness. Compliance, Risk & Regulatory Adherence Ensure strict adherence to all AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements for every new and existing account. Operate in full alignment with Mass Mutual and M+ policies, procedures, and supervisory frameworks to protect clients, the firm, and its regulatory standing. Stay current on regulatory changes relevant to private wealth and securities operations; communicate impacts proactively to the Private Wealth Director. Support periodic audits and compliance reviews by maintaining thorough, audit-ready documentation and records. Business Development Support Partner with the Private Wealth Director to identify and pursue new client acquisition opportunities, including referral management, prospect follow-up, and pipeline tracking. Support quarterly and annual sales goal attainment through diligent lead management, proposal generation, and strategic marketing support. Collaborate on client appreciation events, seminars, and targeted outreach campaigns in coordination with marketing. Contribute to thought leadership materials, client newsletters, and investment commentary when requested. Team Collaboration & Operational Excellence Provide broad operational support for all day-to-day Private Wealth team activities, including scheduling, meeting coordination, client documentation, and internal reporting. Participate in regular team huddles, strategy sessions, and firm-wide training initiatives. Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance team efficiency, client experience, or compliance posture. Collaborate with internal partners (operations, compliance, technology, marketing) to resolve client issues and advance team objectives. Step in to support peers and cross-functional colleagues during peak periods or special projects. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment with high accuracy and professionalism. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex financial concepts into clear, accessible client language. High ethical standards; ability to handle confidential client information with absolute discretion.
