Sr. Project Accountant (Hybrid)

Senior Project Accountant Full-service construction firm seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support project managers, oversee project accounting operations, mentor junior staff, and ensure accurate billing and financial reporting. Responsibilities Set up and maintain projects in accounting systems Support project managers with financial reports and project questions Review and manage WIP (work-in-progress) reporting, including over/under billings Review billing, contracts, subcontracts, and pay applications Process invoices and manage vendor/subcontractor payment inquiries Prepare owner invoices and ensure contract billing compliance Assist with audits, tax reviews, and special projects Mentor and train project accounting staff Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 4+ years of construction accounting experience Strong knowledge of general ledger, cost, and management accounting Advanced computer skills Strong communication, organization, and time-management abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Additional Details Collaborative environment with large-scale construction projects Competitive compensation plus annual bonus potential Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTO, paid holidays, and professional development opportunities Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: Yes
