Medical Assistant 4

The Medical Assistant 4 is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant 4 assumes ownership and leads advanced and specialized administrative/operational/customer support tasks that require independent initiative and judgment.

Location: Conviva Senior Primary Care office located at 4886 N Dowlen Rd., Beaumont, TX 77708

You will report to the Manager, Clinic/Center Administration

Job Responsibilities:

• Discussing symptoms and gathering information
• Inputting information into the electronic medical records system
• Taking vital signs, giving injections, and performing diagnostic tests
• Collecting specimens and drawing blood
• Sterilizing and cleaning equipment and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site
• Collaborating with Physicians and Nurses
• Delivering direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows
• Coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals
• Overseeing the work of others
• Being the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product, or technology
• Working within broad guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Certified or Registered
• Phlebotomy Experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 3+ years MA Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• We consider this role patient facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB

Other Qualifications:

• 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
• Leadership experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
