Entry Level Signal Engineer

Overview

NST is currently seeking a highly motivated entry level signal engineer for a remote work position. Preferred candidate is interested in all areas of application of signal engineering. The duties will include design of interlocking circuits utilizing both relay and microprocessor technology. Experience in both mainline and transit signal system applications is preferred, although not required as this position is entry-level. Assignments will include entry level signal design including preliminary engineering hardware and software development as well as highway crossings.

Requirements

• The candidate has a minimum BSEE, BSET, or equivalent experience related to signal system design
• Excellent communications skills
• Limited travel

Desired Interests

We are looking for a candidate with interest in electronic controls and software for controlling the safe movement of trains. We will provide required training and instruction; but a deep interest in control systems, electronics, and transportation systems is highly desired.
