At Sterling Crane USA, you truly get the best of both worlds --the dynamic opportunities that come with being part of a growing, U.S. -based company, combined with the strength, stability, and long-term vision of being part of Marmon and Berkshire Hathaway.The crane rigger will assist the crane operator in the preparation of moving heavy materials, equipment, and the building of mobile cranes.**Duties and Responsibilities*** Ensure all applicable rigging meets safety requirements and Sterling Crane standards during the precheck process.* Haul materials and equipment between job sites.* Signal crane operator during lifts for directional or placement instructions.* Guide and position loads as necessary at elevated heights.* Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.**Required Qualifications & Skills*** High school diploma or equivalent.* CDL preferred.* NCCER or NCCCO crane rigger certification - preferred.* 3+ years previous experience as a rigger.* Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to follow safety procedures.* Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements.* Strong knowledge of math applications, weights, measurements, equipment capacity limitations and wight limits.* Problem solving skills and critical thinking to resolve and identify safety issues.* Previous experience using crane hand signals.* Team player who has excellent communication and customer service skills.* Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.**Physical Requirements*** Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.* Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65lbs.* Most be able to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.* Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects/materials.* Must be comfortable working at elevated heights.Hourly: $30 - $40 - DOE+Pay Range:27.00 - 33.00We offer a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and more!Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
