Finance Project Leader - Rental

Position Purpose The Project Leader - Rental Finance is a high-impact role supporting a $1.2B and rapidly growing Rental business. The team is lean and operates in a fast-paced, evolving environment where data maturity is still developing. This role offers strong exposure across the business, with the opportunity to work closely with leadership and directly influence outcomes through data-driven insights. You’ll have end-to-end visibility across the P&L—from sales to profit and capital investments—and play a key role in connecting financial insights to future business strategy. Key Responsibilities 40% PROJECT CONTROL – Develop an effective plan for controlling project scope, schedule, and cost, monitor project execution to ensure the plan is being followed, and create and coordinate documentation to explain changes or potential changes to the baseline. Ensure approved changes are implemented. 30% PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS – Develop an effective plan for communicating project information to the project team and stakeholders. Produce written status reports and scorecards and create/present project review documents to senior leadership. 10% PROJECT RISK ASSESSMENT – Lead the definition of project risks and required mitigation approaches. Monitor project activities for the occurrence of risks and take timely action to escalate or mitigate. Advise project team members and stakeholders of actions required or completed. 10% PROJECT LESSONS LEARNED – At the completion of a project or project phase, capture key lessons learned and communicate them to peer Project Leaders, applying learned lessons in subsequent projects. 10% PROJECT ENVIRONMENT – Share responsibility for providing a good working environment. Ensure teams are staffed, duties and responsibilities are understood by everyone, and an inclusive environment is maintained. Direct Manager/Direct Reports Reports to Sr Finance Manager. This role has no direct reports. Travel Requirements Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Working Conditions Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Minimum Qualifications Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Strong financial acumen with experience in corporate finance and analytics. Ability to connect data to business outcomes and communicate insights effectively. Proactive, 'go-getter' mindset with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable navigating ambiguity. Strong Excel skills (SQL/BigQuery/Tableau experience is a plus). Curious, growth-oriented mindset with interest in expanding scope and impact. Minimum Education The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
