About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Dialysis Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Three to five (3–5) years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support certification required upon hire Must-Have: - Knowledge of advanced professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. - Ability to maintain civility and good working relationships with other employees. - Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. - Strong written and oral communication skills characterized by candor, openness, integrity, and the ability to be diplomatic. Description: Align behaviors with organizational values and maintain nursing professional practice standards. Assume responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients. Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting changes in physician orders. Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing physiological manifestations, and intervening when necessary. Administer medication as prescribed. Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. Deliver patient care competently. Resolve patient complaints in a timely manner in accordance with policy and in collaboration with support staff. Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and share care plans during the time of care and at the time of discharge. Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Foster a growth mindset by seeking mentorship, remaining open to coaching and feedback, and maintaining professional certification. Develop a professional career plan and establish personal performance goals, frequently measuring progress. Foster an inclusive workforce where individual differences are valued and maximized. Delegate tasks to clinical support staff as needed. Interact with families and patients in sharing care plans while in the hospital and at discharge. Provide feedback and opportunities for others to learn through formal and informal methods. Perform other duties as assigned.
