Step into a rewarding long-term contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher serving high school students. This position, located near Urbana, OH, provides the chance to make a meaningful difference within a supportive educational environment. You’ll play a vital role in guiding and advocating for students on your caseload, ensuring individualized educational plans are tailored to foster growth and success.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Ohio ODE Intervention Specialist license (K–12)
- Experience in high school special education settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered instruction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
- Provide tailored instruction and intervention for a caseload of 24 high school students
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Assess student progress, adjust interventions, and maintain accurate records
- Engage with families and guardians to ensure comprehensive support for each student’s unique needs
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment
This full-time position offers a consistent 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with the assignment running from ASAP through June 10, 2027. You’ll have the stability needed to develop lasting relationships and make a positive impact throughout your contract.
