AVP/ Senior Associate, Financial Crime Advisory - Sanctions, Legal, Compliance & Secretariat

• Provide expert Sanctions Advisory to business units and stakeholders across the Group to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and internal policies.
• Manage and resolve Group Ad hoc Requests related to sanctions screening, escalations, and risk assessments in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct complex payment reviews and transaction monitoring escalations to identify, analyze, and mitigate potential sanctions risks.
• Analyze and interpret global sanctions regulations and assess their operational impact on the bank's products and services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to update sanctions compliance policies, procedures, and screening systems.
• Assist in preparing management reports, risk metrics, and regulatory submissions regarding sanctions compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in financial crime compliance, with a specific focus on sanctions advisory and transaction screening within a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of global sanctions regimes, including OFAC, UN, EU, and local regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in handling complex payment reviews and managing ad hoc compliance queries.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to effectively advise business units.
• Professional certification in compliance (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) is highly advantageous.
