Store Shift Supervisor

Position Responsibilities Assist a neighbor in choosing the perfect toy for a lab who loves to fetch Stop to greet weekly regular Bruno the Chihuahua when she comes in with his human mom Show a fourth grader how to test the water in his fish tank Set an example for the other team members in delivering fantastic neighborly service Assist the store’s team leaders by reinforcing daily operational procedures and performance expectations Partner with store team leaders to learn and reinforce PSP standards and daily management routines Provide leadership coverage and cover management functions up to four times a week when team leaders are offsite Adhere to operational policies and procedures (cleanliness, animal care, safety and security) that ensure exceptional service Learn and perform back‑office procedures such as making signs, updating price changes, and inputting cashier records Take part in store recruiting, onboarding and team member development Communicate opportunities to improve community engagement or store performance to the team leaders Act as store team member when not acting as manager‑on‑duty or learning operational tasks Willingness to perform nail trims on our furry friends Qualifications A high school diploma or GED 2+ years of retail experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong sales and customer service skills Ability to operate all equipment, including a forklift, to run the store; can climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds Must work flexible schedules, have reliable transportation, and pass required drug screening (where allowed by law) and be 18 years or older Benefits Employee Discounts Flexible Schedules Pay Increases & Pet Care Training Programs Promotion From Within Culture Medical, Dental & Vision Plans (Full‑Time) Health Savings & Flexible Spending Accounts Paid Time Off (Full‑Time) Salary : USD $18.40 / Hr. – USD $19.40 / Hr.
