Cleaner On-Call, Part Time - 2nd Shift Job Description Summary: The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services. Responsibilities Clean and maintain floors, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and using light and heavy (commercial type) floor buffers and shampoo machines with attachments. Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot clean daily and shampoo rugs as directed. Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces; perform periodic high-dusting. Wash windowsills, glass in interior doors and partitions, and specified windows; wash and spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily. Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies, following standard procedures of damp wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and sweeping/mopping/scrubbing floors. Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, and report to supervisors. Collect building trash daily, place it in the approved container and designated collection area for removal. Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications. Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed. Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications No previous experience required; basic cleaning responsibilities only. Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team. Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a portable backpack style vacuum cleaner. Requires attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organizational skills, and high levels of energy and endurance. Compensation may vary based on geographic location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and collective bargaining agreements.
