Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT

Must-Have: Previous charge experience is preferred.

Description: The position requires floating between units. On-call is not required. Weekends are required every other weekend. Block schedules are required. Expected patient ratios depend on acuity. Special requirements include floor care, emergency response, and rapid response experience. The facility is a short-term acute care and level II trauma center. Total staffed beds are 629 and it is a teaching hospital. Charting is performed using Epic. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient census and number of visits per day are dependent on specific unit metrics. Daily interactions involve assessments, treatments, and care management for respiratory conditions. Skills required include setup and management of aerosol treatments, mechanical ventilation, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. Candidates may be expected to float between facilities as needed. Previous experience with pediatrics and response in emergency situations is preferred. Travelers' refusal to float may impact guaranteed hours. Two professional references are required prior to the start of employment. Compliance with additional requirements may be necessary throughout the hiring process.
