The next generation keyfob integrates the latest wireless protocols: Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth (BLE) and Ultra Wide Band (UWB). All three of which are integrated into a small, styled keyfob with the latest in cyber security protection. This role focuses on requirements management, design of system architecture, customer technical interface, project technical leadership with personnel at different global sites developing software/hardware, and debug of products on the benches and vehicles.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead the global technical project team designing the hardware, software, integration testing, and prototype samplesAdapt the hardware/software system architecture to the customer applicationLead the analysis of requirements and allocation to the hardware design, software design and testing.Lead the technical interface and support of the customer including developing interface requirements of the keyfob to the customer’s transceivers andAnalyze and de-bug issues using the latest instrumentationActively lead/participate in design peer reviews.QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field. Other engineering degrees may be acceptable if the candidate has a demonstrated proficiency in embedded systems design and developmentThree or more years of experience in embedded systems design, testing with a preference in automotive embedded systems.Strong technical leadership skillsProven ability to quickly grasp new technology concepts and their real-world applicationsSelf-starter and strong willingness to represent the global technical project teamProficiency in MS Office tools is essential.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSFamiliarity and experience in wireless systems and their applicationsHands-on proficiency with communication protocols including wireless (CAN, Ethernet, NFC, BLE, UWB) and working with electrical system benchesStrong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, communication datalogging (CAN, BLE, NFC, UWB)Experience implementing wireless security systems with theExperience with modern system/software development workflows and ASPICE processWhat Makes This Role High‑ImpactYou are the forefront of the introduction of new wireless technologies for automotive security systemsYou collaborate across systems, hardware, software and test engineering to build and bring to market the next-generation automotiveYou represent the technical team to the customer as well as delivering the customer voice to the company Strattec is an equal opportunity employer.
