Job Description

Make a meaningful impact working as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive school environment near Elizabethtown, PA! This fulfilling contract opportunity offers two immediate openings: one for an Elementary Autism Support Teacher and another for a Jr/Sr High Autism Support Teacher. Each role is integral in helping students with autism thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, working from 7:30AM to 3:00PM, with a restful 45-minute lunch break integrated into your day.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teaching certification for the state of Pennsylvania
Experience or strong interest working with students diagnosed with autism
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
Familiarity with evidence-based practices for autism support is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality instruction and classroom management to students requiring autism support in either an elementary or junior/senior high school setting
Develop and implement IEPs, adapting lessons to meet individual student needs
Work collaboratively with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and specialists
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth
Communicate regularly with families, ensuring alignment and awareness of student progress
Track student data and contribute to progress monitoring and reporting
