Key Responsibilities

• Perform breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and assistance with breast ultrasound biopsy in accordance with MQSA and ACR guidelines
• Identify and review patient requisitions for consistency with clinical diagnosis and demographic information; communicate pertinent findings to the radiologist and care team
• Conduct and document quality control measures to ensure equipment operates within safe limits per MQSA and ACR standards
• Educate and communicate with patients before, during, and after breast imaging procedures to support continuity of care
• Assist with scheduling breast imaging appointments, managing departmental workflow, and maintaining medical supply inventory
• Maintain 24 CEU credits per ARRT guidelines every two years and remain current with CPR/BLS certification

Required Qualifications

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification with Mammography (M) designation required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Working knowledge of mammography and stereotactic equipment, examination protocols, contrast agent procedures, and sterile techniques
• Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
• Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 1 year of mammography or breast imaging experience preferred
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Familiarity with radiographic examination protocols
