Neonatologist
Pediatrix & Obstetrix
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to join their team of 5 Neonatologists and 7 NNPs in Des Moines, IA. This role involves covering two hospitals, including a 60-bed Level 3 NICU, and offers the opportunity to work in a growing metropolitan community. The group is expanding its NNP team with the goal of achieving 24/7 NNP coverage at their Level 3 facility.

- Team of 5 Neonatologists and 7 NNPs
- Covers two hospitals: MercyOne Medical Center and MercyOne W. Des Moines Medical Center
- MercyOne Medical Center: 60-bed Level 3 NICU with an ADC of 42
- MercyOne Medical Center: 24/7 in-house coverage, full subspecialty support, care for infants down to 22 weeks gestation, active neonatal transport team
- MercyOne W. Des Moines Medical Center: 5-bed Level 2 nursery and NBN
- NNPs have their own team with neonatology oversight
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 in-house coverage at MercyOne Medical Center
- Care for infants down to 22 weeks gestation
- Round daily with discharge coordinator and social worker
- Round in the morning at MercyOne W. Des Moines Medical Center
